The first quarterly review under the new cadence is live: build snapshot, performance budget exception, schema coverage, decisions log, and the next-quarter priorities.
What shipped in 2026-Q3
The site entered its first full quarter under the cadence we set out in May: every shipped change has a dated entry on the newsroom, the performance budget is enforced in CI, and the schema coverage check runs on every merge. Below is the public-facing summary of what landed this quarter.

What is on the site now
- 70 published URLs across three locales (en, es, de).
- 22 items in the RSS and Atom feeds (newsroom entries plus the published insights).
- One cornerstone article — the AI Citation Rate Index 2026 — that exceeds the standard performance budget by design and is logged as the single budget exception.
- Five core service pages, a methodology hub, an about page, a contact page, four legal pages, and a 404 page.
What is intentionally out of scope this quarter
- Reviews volume: zero verified reviews. The reviews component stays dormant until we have a real testimonial to publish.
- Translations of newsroom entries: every entry is English-only because the underlying methodology, datasets, and audits need to be reproducible. Translations land in Q4 2026 once the cadence has stabilised.
What changes for Q4
Five priorities, in order, that will shape the Q4 review:
- Add a sixth factor to the AI Citation Rate Index (update frequency).
- Re-run the Core Web Vitals audit after the holiday traffic spike and adjust the budget if the field data shifts.
- Confirm whether AI crawlers (GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot) are fetching
/llms.txtand/llms-full.txt; if they are, ship a citation manifest. - Translate the most-cited insights articles into es and de.
- Audit the existing internal link graph for orphan reduction in the newsroom cluster.
These are not committed yet — the cadence is the container, not the commitment. The Q4 review will pick them up if the decisions still make sense three months from now.

Why is the newsroom in English only?
Because the methodology, datasets, and audits need to be reproducible. Translations of every entry are planned for Q4 2026.

When something is shipped, measured, or learned. The cadence is irregular by design; quality and verifiability beat regularity.
Can I subscribe to updates?
Yes — every newsroom entry is in the RSS and Atom feeds. The feed URLs are in the site footer and the llms-full manifest.
How can I cite a newsroom entry?
Use the canonical URL and the published date. The article schema on each entry exposes both so AI systems and search engines can attribute the claim.
Will the newsroom accept guest posts?
No. The newsroom documents Bear In Code's own shipped work. Guest contributions belong in the Insights articles or your own blog.
